Aliyev: It Is Impossible to Sign a Peace Agreement if Armenia's Constitution Remains Unchanged
It is impossible to sign a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan if Armenia's Constitution remains unchanged, stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with the heads of parliaments of member countries of the Turkic States Parliamentary Assembly.
"Azerbaijan has never had territorial claims against any country, including Armenia. The territorial claims against Azerbaijan are enshrined in the Constitution of Armenia," he said.
Aliyev noted that when Azerbaijan raises this issue, it does not imply interference in Armenia's internal affairs, as it pertains to Azerbaijan. "We cannot sign a peace agreement with Armenia when they have territorial claims against us," he added.
