VIDEO: Syrian Citizen Opens Fire Towards US Embassy in Lebanon, Injured Reported

A Syrian citizen opened fire towards the US diplomatic mission located in the Beirut suburbs, according to a statement from the Lebanese Army.

The report stated, "A person with Syrian citizenship fired at the American embassy in the Awkar area of Lebanon." It was also noted that local Lebanese Army soldiers responded to the incident, injuring the shooter. The assailant was subsequently apprehended and taken to the hospital.

Currently, efforts are underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
