Ararat Mirzoyan Aims to Be More Nikole than Nikol: 'Hraparak'

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, who is affiliated with the ruling party, aspires to be more of a Nikol than Nikol himself. Ahead of Mirzoyan's visit to parliament, law enforcement forces were deployed around the National Assembly building and in adjacent parks, as is typically the case during Nikol Pashinyan's movements, reports the 'Hraparak' newspaper.

'Perhaps the head of Armenia's foreign ministry has not yet overcome the fears stemming from the events of November 9, 2020; however, the issue is that Ararat Mirzoyan seeks to match or even surpass Nikol Pashinyan in every matter. For instance, he was fiercely attacking political opponents during the discussions, promoting false and misleading theses, and after the discussions, he fled through a secret back door reserved for government officials, where journalists are not allowed to enter. Mirzoyan not only avoided answering journalists' questions but also slammed the door in their faces and locked it from the inside,' the report noted.

It is worth mentioning that the future 'boss', the incoming Russian ambassador Gurgen Arsenyan, invited Mirzoyan to his office, but Mirzoyan declined, stating that he was leaving through the side door.
