4-Year-Old Child Injured by Father's Air Gun
An extraordinary incident occurred in the Syunik region on June 1. Around 16:15, operational information was received at the Kapan Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, regarding a child who had been admitted to the Kapan medical center with a diagnosis of 'laceration of the right eyebrow.'
According to Shamshyan.com, police identified the child as 4-year-old S.N., a resident of the Syunik region. Through measures taken by the police, it was determined that on the same day, around 15:00, S.N. had taken his father's airgun, specifically a model 'IZH-38,' which is not considered a firearm, from the interior of his father's vehicle. When the father, A.N., attempted to take it back, the sharp tip of the device accidentally touched the child's eyebrow, causing an injury.
According to the on-duty doctor, S.N. had a small scratch on his eyebrow. A.N. reported to the Kapan Police Department and stated that the incident was a result of carelessness and presented the mentioned air gun.
