Italian Government Suggests Macron Wear a Helmet and Go to Ukraine

Minister Matteo Salvini has criticized Macron for the idea of sending Western troops to Ukraine. He has called for the French president to go participate in combat actions.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also does not share the French leader's position. According to Transport and Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini, Emmanuel Macron is a "war inciter" and should travel to Ukraine himself.

"I tell Macron to go to Ukraine to fight, wear a helmet, and not anger the Italians," Salvini stated (as quoted by Newsbiella).

The right-wing politician, who leads the "League" party, advocates for peace and has repeatedly criticized Macron. Back in March, he deemed Macron dangerous for Europe, as the French president allowed Western troops to be sent to Ukraine. He has also called for psychiatric support to be provided to himself and all those who support the idea of sending troops to Ukraine.
