Another Cyclone Approaches Armenia: Gagik Surenyan

From noon until evening on June 4, there will be short-term thunderstorms and rains in various regions of the Republic. Rain-free weather is expected from June 5 to 6. This was announced today at a press conference by Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, who presented the weather conditions expected in the coming days.

Starting from June 7, another cyclone will approach Armenia from the Black Sea region, and it is expected to be quite active. “If on June 7 its operational area includes Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Kotayk, and Gegharkunik, then from June 8 to 14, the entire territory of Armenia will be under the influence of this cyclone. On June 7, in the northern regions, and during the period from June 8 to 14, in most regions of Armenia, especially during the night and after noon, rain and thunderstorms are expected, with a high likelihood of hail in some areas. On separate days, the rains in certain areas of Armenia will be intense,” he noted.

According to Surenyan, until June 7, Armenia will be under the influence of warm air penetrating from the southeast, and the temperature will rise by 5 degrees. The highest temperature is expected to be between June 6 and 7, with temperatures in the capital and the Ararat Valley reaching up to 35 degrees.

Starting from June 7, the warm air wave will retreat, and a cooler current will penetrate into the country. The temperature across Armenia will decrease by 8-10 degrees. On June 11, temperatures will be around +25 to +26 degrees.
