Will Snoop Dogg's Concert Take Place or Not? Inquiry to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports

Snoop Dogg's concert is set to take place in 2024. This was confirmed in a written response to Tert.am from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MoESCS).

Information surfaced in the summer of 2023 that a global superstar would be coming to Armenia. It later became clear that the artist in question was Snoop Dogg, and the concert was scheduled for September 2023. However, the concert was postponed.

The media outlet inquired with the MoESCS regarding whether the concert will ultimately be held and whether the 2.3 billion AMD allocated from the state budget for the concert would be refunded.

According to the MoESCS's response, “Based on the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision No. 218-N dated 15.02.2024, an agreement was signed on February 19 between the MoESCS and the limited liability company 'Doping Space' regarding the rescheduling of the concert for global star Snoop Dogg, which will take place in 2024. Currently, 'Doping Space' LLC is negotiating with the artist to finalize the concert dates.”

Regarding the 2.3 billion AMD allocated from the state budget for the concert, the MoESCS stated, “The funds were provided for the organization of Snoop Dogg's concert, and since the organization is currently engaged in finalizing the concert dates, a definitive answer to this question can only be provided after the concert takes place.”
