VIDEO: Avinyan Addresses the Kond District Reconstruction Project

The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has addressed the reconstruction project of the Kond district. He stated, “The process is a bit illogical and is taking too long,” referring to the ongoing competition. He emphasized that he cannot understand the “logic of endless competitions.”

According to the Mayor, over the past year, seven entities have been selected to move on to the second phase. “This second phase is taking a very long time, not to mention that the first phase was also excessively prolonged and illogical. Perhaps there was a lot of work to be done for each entity, but we did not want a final detailed project, rather a conceptual proposal at a certain level,” he noted.

He further stated that every issue is under their responsibility. “If we receive a proposal, we are very happy, and we will discuss it with all partners. If we do not receive proposals, we might ask international partners to provide suggestions,” he added.
