The First Truck from China has Arrived in Armenia under the 'Peace Junction' Project
On May 31, the first truck from Shanghai, China, arrived in Yerevan, Armenia, under the government's 'Peace Junction' initiative, passing through the territories of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran. The information was reported by the 'Armenpress' news agency, noting that the cargo transportation from China to Armenia took approximately 20 days.
The welcoming ceremony for the first truck was attended by Bolat Imangaliyev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia, Muhametniyaz Mashalov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia, Aram Grigoryan, Armenia's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and Khachik Soghomonyan, the head of the automotive transport policy, licensing, and permits department of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia.
Regarding the significance of the event and the importance of the 'Peace Junction' project for Armenia, officials from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure stated that the Armenian government has consistently prioritized efforts towards enhancing transport connectivity and the implementation of regional infrastructure projects.
The ministry added that appropriate mechanisms have been developed for both bilateral and multilateral formats.
