Importers and Exporters Will Not Need to Visit Customs Authorities
In Armenia, a procedure change is planned for importers and exporters that will eliminate the need to visit customs authorities physically. This was announced by the head of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, during the preliminary discussion of the annual report on the execution of the 2023 state budget at a joint meeting of permanent committees in the National Assembly.
The chairwoman of the Financial and Budgetary Committee, Tsovinar Vardanyan, inquired about potential facilitation for exports. "Generally, importers and exporters will not have to physically visit the customs authorities anymore. There will be no need to visit customs; instead, they will receive electronic notifications and will be able to respond, adjust declarations, disagree, or initiate complaints through electronic platforms. This means we can completely eliminate the physical connection between customs authorities and taxpayers, except for drivers," said the head of the State Revenue Committee.
