Erdogan to Make a 'Global Call', Media Reports

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to make a 'global call' during one of the upcoming international meetings. This information was reported by Hurriyet newspaper, noting that the initiative is necessary for resolving the situations in Gaza and Ukraine.

The publication did not provide details about the initiative or specify which meeting the Turkish leader will announce his 'humanity call'. The G7 summit is scheduled to take place in the Italian city of Bari from June 13-15, and it is expected to include participation from Ukraine and an additional 15 invited countries and international organizations. Among the foreign leaders, Erdogan is expected to be present as well.

The Turkish president has repeatedly emphasized the need for a prompt resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, accusing the US and Western countries of supporting Israel. He has also voiced support for a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian conflict, proposing Turkey as a negotiating platform between Russia and Ukraine, following the Istanbul negotiations in March 2022.
