Emergency State May Be Imposed in Russia Due to Frostbite

In Russia, an emergency state may be imposed due to frostbite. Federal emergency regulations could be established by the end of the week, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut has informed journalists.

"We plan to impose an emergency state by the end of the week, if the Ministry of Emergency Situations holds its sub-committee meeting. After that, we will work with insurance companies," she said to reporters.

The damage caused to agriculture in Russia due to the May frostbite has not yet been assessed in monetary terms.
