José Mourinho Takes Over Turkish Club Fenerbahçe

Former Roma head coach José Mourinho will continue his coaching career in the Turkish league. The Portuguese specialist has been officially appointed as the manager of Fenerbahçe. This was announced by the press service of the Istanbul club.

The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed officially, but media reports indicate that both parties have signed a contract for the upcoming two years.

“Welcome, unique one,” reads the welcoming message shared by the club on social media.

It is worth noting that Mourinho is 61 years old. Previously, he left his position as head coach of Roma, where he had been working since 2021. Under his leadership, the team won the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League and reached the final of the Europa League.

In the previous season of the Turkish league, Fenerbahçe finished in second place, falling just 3 points short of champions Galatasaray.
