US, Egypt, and Israel to Discuss Restoration of Rafah Crossing Operations

A meeting of officials from the US, Egypt, and Israel is scheduled for Sunday in Cairo to discuss the restoration of operations at the Rafah crossing in the Gaza Strip, a senior source has informed the Egyptian state television channel Al Qahera.

Egypt insists that Israel withdraw its forces from the crossing, according to the television report. Israel seized the crossing in May during an attack along the southern border of the enclave near the city of Rafah.
