Putin Issues Stark Warning to the West

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a tough message to the West regarding the situation in Ukraine, reports the Daily Express.

“Putin has issued a stern warning to the West about the escalation of conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing that it could lead to severe global repercussions,” the publication states.

Workers are demolishing rubble at the site of a Ukrainian power plant.

The article notes that Putin's comments were made during a press conference in Tashkent, where he also addressed NATO's role in Europe. In particular, the Russian leader discussed the need for representatives of NATO countries to be accountable for “what they are playing with” when speaking about plans to allow strikes on Russian targets from Kyiv.

As Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated, Moscow is aware that attempts to strike Russian territory with American weapons have already been made.
