In Anticipation of Bishop Bagrat's Visit, Children's Concert Stage Dismantled in Gyumri Within Minutes

In Gyumri, the stage set for a concert dedicated to Children's Rights Day has been dismantled within minutes. This information was reported by a correspondent from Sputnik Armenia.

Currently, supporters of the 'Tavush for Homeland' movement are heading to Gyumri in a motorcade, led by Bishop Bagrat.

Earlier, media outlets had reported that Armenia's First Lady Anna Hakobyan was also expected to attend the concert. Maria Galstyan, the director of the 'Taluis' choir from the Tavush Diocese (who were to participate in the concert), spoke with journalists stating that the concert was scheduled to begin at 14:00. There had been a sound check that morning which went smoothly, but at 12:45, participants were instructed to start the concert at 13:00.

“When I asked about the reason, Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan did not respond. Through producer Tovmas Arakelyan, we explained that we needed to perform the concert at 14:00, clarifying that there were technical issues and the children were not yet ready. Then the square was empty, there were no listeners, so who were we supposed to perform for so early?” she said.

After this conversation, the stage set up in front of Vardan Achemyan Dramatic Theater was dismantled within minutes.
