Blinken and Kuleba Reach New Agreement

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba have agreed during a phone conversation to finalize long-term security guarantees for Kyiv in the coming weeks. This was reported by "RIA Novosti," citing a statement from the State Department.

"We have agreed to conclude bilateral negotiations on long-term security arrangements in the coming weeks," the document clarified.

Blinken and Kuleba discussed further support for Ukraine, including arms supplies and the "self-defense capability" against the Russian army.

Earlier, Kuleba had deemed Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) risky within the territories currently controlled by the Ukrainian armed forces.

On May 21, the U.S. Secretary of State announced at a press conference in Prague that NATO members would develop a "bridge" for Ukraine to join the alliance at the summit scheduled for June in Washington.

Previously, Hungary's Ministry of Foreign Affairs had warned NATO about preparing for war with Russia.
