A Powerful Class X Solar Flare Has Occurred on the Sun
On Saturday, June 1, a powerful new class X solar flare occurred on the Sun. This was reported by TASS, citing the Institute of Applied Geophysics.
"An X1.1 flare was registered at 01:03 Moscow time, lasting 17 minutes," said the Institute. (02:03 Yerevan time)
The previous flare of class X1.4/2B occurred on May 29, lasting 87 minutes. Solar flares are categorized into five classes—A, B, C, M, and X—depending on the strength of their X-ray emissions.
