North Korean military personnel conducted exercises involving the launch of small-range guided KN-25 ballistic missiles. The missile launchers were lined up on the launch pad and fired 18 missiles toward a small island in the sea.

The DPRK's drills came in response to South Korea's outrage over balloon attacks. North Koreans have been sending waste and garbage via balloons as a form of retaliation. Previously, South Korea had used a similar method to send propaganda and various forms of messaging to the North.
