US and NATO Ready for Literally Anything, Lavrov Says

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that NATO has long used F-16 fighter jets as a delivery mechanism during nuclear joint missions. In this context, according to the Russian Foreign Minister, Russia will consider the supply of these fighters to Ukraine as a "deliberate signaling action by NATO in the nuclear sphere."

"They are trying to make us understand that the US and NATO are literally ready for anything in Ukraine," Lavrov told RIA Novosti.

He added that the supply of fighter jets will not change the situation on the battlefield. "Those aircraft will be destroyed, just like other weaponry supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries," the Russian foreign minister emphasized.

The F-16 is a fourth-generation American fighter jet capable of delivering tactical nuclear weapons, providing fire support, hunting, and conducting aerial reconnaissance. Ukraine is set to receive over 60 F-16s from Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway. The first deliveries are expected this summer. On May 24, the first group of Ukrainian pilots completed their F-16 flight training in the United States.
