Akhthala Community Will Only Have a Footpath for Now: Sevak Sargsyan
The Akhthala community will soon have a road connecting it with the outside world, albeit only for foot traffic for the time being. This was stated by the mayor of Akhthala, Sevak Sargsyan, in an interview with Factinfo.
“Currently, a bridge is being constructed with metal structures to connect to the other bank of the river, and the welding works are ongoing. The construction of a road for vehicles will take much longer, but the footpath is a priority,” Mr. Sargsyan noted.
According to M. Vardanian, electricity has been restored, and work is also being done on gas supply. Additionally, repairs on water supply pipes are underway to resolve the water issue.
Until now, water and essential supplies such as groceries and medications have been brought to the Akhthala community via all-terrain vehicles and UAZ vans through the Lalvari forest, as the road remains inaccessible.
