We Have Overcome the Phase of Threat: Pashinyan

“Do you remember that I have stated several times from the parliamentary podium that if we manage to ensure the existence of our state for 1-2 years, we will secure our state's existence in the long term?” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned during a joint session of the National Assembly's permanent committees while discussing the execution of the 2023 state budget. According to him, the report on the execution of the 2023 budget is the most crucial documented evidence in this context.

“What have we achieved as a result of the expenditures of the 2023 state budget? We have reached the conclusion that we have overcome that phase of challenges and threats because if in 2022-2023, and also in 2021, and in 2020, we saw direct and immediate threats to the existence of our state, today we can report that we have been able to manage and neutralize these direct threats to our state, both in the short-term and mid-term by implementing the aforementioned formulas,” he stated.

“But we must also understand that it is very important to continue this policy in the long term and make decisions based on the real strategy of Armenia that fit within this logic. We must be a government, parliament, and ruling majority capable of making decisions that are adapted to the changing world and its evolving challenges and goals. This is the aim and the achievement we have from the results of the expenditures of the 2023 state budget, and we must continue to serve this aim,” he added.
