Podolyak Highlights Optimal Number of Fighters to Defend the Frontline

Kiev needs at least 60 Western fighter jets to defend the frontline, and an optimal amount would be to acquire 100-120 combat aircraft. This was stated by Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the President's Office of Ukraine, in an interview with Bloomberg.

“Kiev needs at least 60 jets to maintain control over the frontline; the optimal number would be acquiring 100-120 aircraft,” Bloomberg quotes his words.

Previously, Ukraine had also requested an additional 7 Patriot air defense systems to strengthen its missile defense, but so far, they have only received a promise from Germany to deliver one such system.
