A New Speed Camera Has Been Installed

The Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that the absence of monitoring by photographic technical means for adhering to the established maximum speed limit has created favorable conditions for many drivers for exceeding speed limits, contributing to the emergence of hazardous situations.

In accordance with Article 22 of the Law on Police of the Republic of Armenia, a photographic technical device has been relocated from another area and installed at kilometer 54.5 of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan interstate road near the Gagarin settlement, directing towards Yerevan, where the permissible speed limit is 90 km/h.

It is reported that the photographic technical device will be operational starting from June 3rd.
