VIDEO: Ruling Party MP Douses Opposition MP with Water in Georgian Parliament Session
During a session of the Georgian Parliament, opposition MP Georgi Vashadze was doused with water while delivering a speech criticizing the controversial "Transparency of Foreign Influence" bill, also known as the foreign agents law. This was reported by the Sputnik Georgia Telegram channel.
According to the statement, the incident occurred as ruling party MP Irma Zavradashvili, representing the "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia," expressed dissent against the opposition's remarks.
On May 28, the Georgian Parliament overcame President Salome Zourabichvili's veto on the foreign agents law. The vote results indicated that the decision was accepted by a majority of the votes from the parliamentarians. The draft law will be adopted in its original form.
