Putin Considers Zelensky's Authority Illegal
Julya
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, considers the authority of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky to be illegal. He made this statement during a conversation with journalists in Tashkent before returning to Moscow.
“The 2016 law states that presidential elections cannot be held under martial law, but there is nothing mentioned anywhere about extending those powers. Look at Article 111 of the Constitution, which says that all powers are transferred to the Speaker of Parliament,” commented the Russian president, who initiated a war against Ukraine, on Ukraine's constitution.
It should be noted that today marked the end of his three-day state visit to Uzbekistan.
