Current Water Levels in Armenia's Rivers
The Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia has reported the water levels in the rivers of Armenia as of 08:00 on May 28, 2024. According to the ministry, in the basins of the Debed and Agstev rivers, a decrease in water flow has been observed compared to the evening of May 27 at 20:00. However, some measuring points recorded an increase in water flow.
In the Ayrium measuring point of the Debed River, the water flow has decreased by 26 m³/s, now standing at 214 m³/s (the danger level is 350 m³/s). At the Stepanavan measuring point of the Dzoraget River, the water flow is 75.5 m³/s (the danger level is 175 m³/s), which is an increase of 10 m³/s compared to the previous observation. The water flow at the Tumanyan measuring point of the Pambak River decreased by 11.2 m³/s compared to the evening of May 27 and is now at 61.4 m³/s (the danger level is 120 m³/s).
In the Tashir River, the water flow has increased by 13.1 m³/s, reaching 28.3 m³/s (the danger level is 85.4 m³/s). In the Agstev River basin, the water flow at the Dilijan measuring point is 16.0 m³/s as of 08:00 on May 28, which is a decrease of 4.4 m³/s compared to May 27 at 20:00 (the danger level is 42.4 m³/s). The water flow at the Ijevan measuring point of the Agstev River decreased by 6.5 m³/s and is now 86.0 m³/s (the danger level is 124 m³/s). At the Acharkut measuring point of the Kiran River, the water flow has also declined to 6.90 m³/s (the danger level is 20.4 m³/s).
Last night, rain was recorded in Lori and Tavush regions, with precipitation in Lori amounting to 7-13 mm and in Tavush to 3-7 mm.
