Which Routes to Take to Bypass Closed Sections When Heading to the Georgian Border

The Rescue Service has reported that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. A partial collapse occurred at the pedestrian section of the bridge near the village of Getapnya in the Ararat region, resulting in the suspension of traffic on the bridge.

Due to a rockslide, traffic is currently only allowed in one direction on the Megrі-TSav highway at the 33rd km mark in the Syunik region. According to the Road Department Foundation, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Ayrum-Bagratashe airport road is closed.

Drivers are advised to bypass the M-6 when heading to the Georgian border, using the M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Armenia border and M-1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Armenia border inter-state highways instead.

The M-4 Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan-Armenia border highway is passable from Dilijan to Ijevan, although traffic is one-way in some sections.

Regarding the Lars Road, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetia crisis management center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
