350-meter Gas Pipeline Collapses in Metz Mantash Due to Heavy Rain

Due to weather conditions, approximately 350 meters of a roadside gas pipeline in the community of Metz Mantash in the Ararat region has collapsed, resulting in the suspension of gas supply to 10 residential homes and a nearby kindergarten. This has been reported by the Shirak regional administration.

Shirak Governor Mushegh Muradyan visited Metz Mantash with community leader Anan Voskanyan, Metz Mantash administrative head Narek Mkrtchyan, Shirak Gas Supply Director Torgom Sukiasyan, as well as representatives from the governor's office and the construction company. They met with residents and listened to their concerns, after which they also visited the local kindergarten.

In a conversation with the director of the kindergarten, they discussed the construction of a new kindergarten in the community, as preliminary data suggests that the number of students will increase by 27 next year.

“It is important for us to resolve the emerging issue as soon as possible and restore gas supply. The weather conditions are indeed unfavorable, but all our efforts must be directed towards easing the worries of our residents. The Shirak governor’s office stands alongside all responsible authorities within the limits of our powers and capabilities,” stated Mushegh Muradyan.

During the meeting with the governor, representatives from the gas supply and road construction companies promised to work together and resolve the aftermath of the collapse, restoring gas supply as soon as possible,” the statement said.
