The key factor from which current processes stem is the strategy that the Armenian government has laid on its working table; it is the real strategy of Armenia, the strategy of Armenia, whose golden map I show everyone at every opportunity. "Why should this map stir up passions? The key one among these is our national misfortune of being without a state for centuries, which should have kept the dream of restoring statehood alive in our consciousness and subconsciousness, as it is a crucial component of our national identity. However, while dreaming of a state, we have relied on the memories that stemmed from our previous state traditions - the Yervanduni, Artaxiad, Arsacid, Bagratid, and Cilician Armenia. Those Armenias, in terms of their territory and sometimes geographical position, have not been identical or comparable, which has become an objective obstacle to the concretization and advancement of our perceptions about the Republic of Armenia. This may not seem significant, but imagine you want to build a house, yet you are uncertain about what area, position, or size of house you want to build. Until your ideas on this issue are clarified, you cannot construct that house, and your efforts directed towards construction will not be specific. At best, you will have chaotic actions because you still do not know in which area you want to build a house, in what position, and of what size," he said.
