Fire on Monte Melkonian Street: Several Hospitalized

On May 23, at 23:51, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a fire breaking out in one of the apartments on the 16th floor of building 52/1 on Monte Melkonian Street in Yerevan. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Emergency services dispatched three fire-fighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department, one aerial ladder, a duty team from the Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Operations Organization Department, and a vehicle from the gas protection service to the incident site.

It was determined that the fire occurred in an area of approximately 100 square meters. Rescuers evacuated M.G. (born 1999), S.M. (born 1997), and A.M. (born 2023) from the apartment, and paramedics provided on-site medical assistance.

The fire was contained at 00:42 on May 24 and extinguished by 00:59. The living room (about 40 square meters) was burned, and the walls of the kitchen and hallway (approximately 30 square meters) were charred.
