Fire Breaks Out in Parliament Member Arzvik Minasian's Apartment
This night, a fire broke out in the apartment of Arzvik Minasian, a member of the Armenian National Assembly's "Hayastan" faction. According to Sputnik Armenia, the incident occurred on Monte Melkonyan Street while the family members were asleep. They woke up and noticed the fire. For reasons still unknown, they were unable to open the front door and had to escape to the open balcony until firefighters arrived at the scene.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service had issued a statement about the fire. The Crisis Management National Center received a call at 11:51 PM, reporting that a fire had erupted in one of the apartments on the 16th floor of building number 52/1 on Monte Melkonyan Street in Yerevan.
It was determined that the fire broke out in an area of approximately 100 square meters. Rescuers evacuated 25-year-old M. Gh., 27-year-old S. M., and 1-year-old A. M., who received medical assistance on the spot from paramedics.
The fire was contained on May 24 at 00:42 and extinguished by 00:59. The living room (approximately 40 square meters) was burned, and the kitchen and hallway walls (approximately 30 square meters) were heat damaged.
