Armenia Will Not Host the 2027 CIS Games
The Council on Physical Culture and Sports of the CIS countries has proposed that Armenia host the CIS Games in 2027, a proposal that has been rejected. This information was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Culture and Sports Karen Giloyan stated that several major sporting events are already scheduled to take place in Armenia in 2027. In particular, Armenia's application to host the Francophonie Cultural and Sports Games has already been approved for that year. Additionally, the European Championship in artistic gymnastics, the World Weightlifting Championship, and the Pan-Armenian Games are also planned for 2027.
According to the Deputy Minister, Armenia is willing to discuss the possibility of hosting the CIS Games in 2029.
