Accident on Yerevan-Ijevan Road: Injured Individuals in Moderate Condition
On May 23, at 14:09, the Crisis Management Center of the Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department received information about a traffic accident on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway, indicating a gas leak from the vehicles and injuries requiring the assistance of rescuers.
A firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that at the 64th km of the Yerevan-Ijevan highway, three vehicles, a ‘Mersedes-Benz’ (driver: D. O., born 1976), a ‘Lada’ (driver: S. M., born 1971), and a ‘BMW’ (driver: A. B.) collided. No gas leak was detected.
Before rescuers arrived, the driver of the ‘Mersedes-Benz’ and a passenger, S. O. (born 2002), along with the driver of the ‘Lada’ and a passenger, Y. S. (born 1955), were hospitalized, where doctors assessed their health condition as moderate.
Rescuers de-energized the vehicles and shut off the gas cylinder valves.
