Today, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has traveled to the Islamic Republic of Iran for a working visit, where he will participate in the official ceremony to pay respects and convey condolences regarding the tragic event.
Armenia's National Assembly President Alen Simonyan also paid his respects at the Iranian embassy in Armenia to honor the memory of the Iranian President, Foreign Minister, and other officials who lost their lives in the helicopter crash. Simonyan signed the mourning book opened at the embassy.
In a conversation with reporters, he expressed his condolences to the friendly people of Iran regarding the incident. "This is a very tragic event; I had the honor of meeting both the President and the Foreign Minister. They were making very active efforts and contributions for our country and for the region. It is very sad, and I extend my condolences to the people of the friendly country regarding this very unexpected and incomprehensible event. You probably already know that a presidential visit to Armenia was planned next, which was very important for us, and now we are also deeply saddened by this tragedy," he said.
