This was stated by Garnik Danielyan, a deputy from the 'Armenia' faction, during a conversation with journalists in response to Tert.am's question regarding Alen Simonyan's statement that 'politics is trade.'

‘Our military-political leadership in Artsakh, which is now in a Baku prison, it is shameful that the President of the Luxembourg Parliament is saying what atrocities Azerbaijan has committed and discusses how our military-political leadership should return immediately. A representative of a foreign country is more pro-Armenian than the authorities of Armenia,’ our interlocutor noted.

Danielyan emphasized that Azerbaijan has received everything it wanted from this trade, while Armenia has received nothing.

‘The government has offered inexplicable amounts of money to the residents of Kiran. They have said, 'Write whatever amount you want on paper.' They have called different people to various institutions,’ he stated.

According to Danielyan, the authorities hinted that ‘it would be good for you to take the money and live comfortably.’

‘People are being subjected to terror; there may be individuals whose nerves break down, and some may be willing to sell themselves, that is possible, but 99 percent are not satisfied with this process. There might be people who think that the only alternative is to take the money. People have been told that the border now goes this way, but if you hold one or two rallies, maybe Aliyev will get angry, and the border will pass lower. Can you imagine their pettiness?’ the deputy emphasized.

He pointed out that we are dealing with madmen. ‘How can you present the fact that you are handing over four villages as a great success? It’s better to remain silent and let everyone think you are foolish than to speak and convince everyone that it is so,’ he stated.
