Vehicle Strays from Road in Gegharkunik, Ends Up in Forest; One Injured

On May 21, at 21:59, the Crisis Management National Center received information about a traffic accident near the village of Karchaghbyur in the Gegharkunik region.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was revealed that a "GAZ" brand vehicle (driver: S. S., born in 1962) had strayed from the roadway on the 22nd kilometer of the Vardenis-Martuni highway and ended up in a forest, resulting in one injury.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power, closed the gas tank valve, extricated the driver from the car, and brought him to the ambulance. The injured person was transported to a medical center.
