I remember that the Armenian Apostolic Church had made such claims against Turkey and was presenting them, and I would not be surprised if it were guided by the same logic regarding the Republic of Armenia. This was stated by Nikol Pashinyan from the podium of the National Assembly. He responded to a question from a member of the ruling party regarding the claim that the Armenian Apostolic Church "demands 5 villages from the Republic of Armenia."

“This is quite an eloquent fact. In the past, I proposed that the government and the Armenian Apostolic Church work together on a project to carry out preservation work on collapsing historical and cultural monuments. For some reason, this topic has not been interesting for the church. I assume there is a fundamental reason for this: both the investments made by the government and those made by the church should be transparent and accountable, which is not always practically possible,” said the Prime Minister.
