PM Nikol Pashinyan: Talk of Concessions Is Absolutely Unacceptable
In the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he considers discussions about concessions to be absolutely unacceptable.
“If the state border of the Republic of Armenia is being restored, calling it a concession is at least illogical; I would consider it a success, because for the first time in Armenia's history, we are negotiating to restore the border, which is a crucial cornerstone for the further development of the state's sovereignty and independence,” said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the border follows the principle where it passes. “I want to highlight that as a result of the border delimitation process, not a millimeter of the Republic of Armenia’s sovereign territory has been left to others, the Armenian sovereign territory has been fully recorded in the delimitation areas,” he added.
Pashinyan noted that before making decisions regarding the delimitation process, there have been dozens of discussions within the government. Nikol Pashinyan stated: “Our decisions have undergone legal scrutiny regarding how justified our recorded decisions are; I have no doubt about the legal justification of these decisions.”
