What Was Discussed in the Closed Meeting of the CP
'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'Yesterday, the members of the National Assembly from the CP held a nearly two-hour faction meeting ahead of the upcoming NA session. First, instructions from the leadership were conveyed to the members to refrain from making insulting and mocking statements about the movement so as not to further escalate the situation.'
'Intense discussions arose particularly around the proposed amendments to the Tax Code, which foresee an increase in taxes for lawyers by applying VAT at a rate of 20%. Many members of the CP faction opposed the positive conclusion issued by the Economic Committee led by Babken Tunyan regarding this proposal, stating that the burden on citizens should not be increased at this phase, and that as a result of this change, the cost of legal services would rise, which would consequently affect a wide range of citizens utilizing these services.'
