Video: Plane Encountered Severe Turbulence During Flight, Passenger Dies on London-Singapore Route
An emergency incident occurred during a Singapore Airlines flight. Due to severe turbulence on the London-Singapore route, one person died and 30 others were injured, reports The Mirror.
The flight crew issued a distress signal over the Andaman Sea. Following this, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Bangkok Airport.
According to the publication, the deceased was not secured at the moment when the plane experienced strong turbulence. Footage circulating online shows food scattered throughout the cabin. Medical personnel were waiting to assist passengers upon landing. The aircraft had a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board.
