Turkish Minister: Raisi's Helicopter Lacked or Had Disabled Emergency Signal Transmission System

The head of Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, commented on the search operations following the helicopter crash that resulted in the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and several officials.

The minister indicated that they had been monitoring the entire process from the moment the accident occurred. “First, we checked whether the helicopter had transmitted a signal or not, after which we immediately contacted the Iranian side. It became clear that the helicopter’s alert was either disabled or entirely absent,” he stated.
