Iran Requested Help Regarding Helicopter Crash, Aid Not Offered – State Department

Washington received Tehran's request for assistance following the helicopter crash involving Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. However, the aid was not provided, stated State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.

This was reported by РИА Новости. According to Miller, the Iranian government requested help from the United States, and Washington indicated it would offer assistance, as it would respond to any foreign government's request in such situations.

“In the end, we were unable to provide this assistance,” Miller said, adding that the aid could not be rendered “mainly due to logistical reasons.”

At the same time, the official representative of the State Department declined to specify what kind of assistance Iran requested.
