On May 19, 2024, Yerevan will once again become part of the world’s largest half marathon, the 'One Run', organized by the Heroes League. More than 1000 residents and guests of Yerevan are expected to participate in the race. The event will feature distances of 1, 5, 10, or 21.1 kilometers, starting from Republic Square and passing through Nalbandyan, Isahakyan, Teryan, Arami, and Abovyan streets, along with the Armenian State Conservatory.
Anyone can participate in the 'One Run' half marathon. The start of the 'One Run' will see more than 160,000 participants across all regions of Russia, where this event will take place for the 8th time under the title 'ЗаБег.РФ', and about 30,000 runners in other countries, including China, Brazil, Egypt, Serbia, Belarus, Bahrain, Qatar, Cameroon, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Armenia.
The 'One Run' was first held on May 21, 2017, simultaneously in 10 cities across Russia. In 2018, the unified start time across different time zones occurred in 15 cities, increasing to 19 cities in 2019. Notably, in 2020, the first simultaneous start was given in all federal subjects of the Russian Federation. In 2023, 'ЗаБег.РФ' gained international status and was held in 5 countries: China, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Belarus under the name 'One Run'.
One of the characteristics of the All-Russian Half Marathon is the simultaneous start. In 2020 and 2021, 'ЗаБег.РФ' set two Guinness World Records for being the half marathon that united the greatest number of cities at the same time.
