Information Indicates Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Visited Kiran to Convince Farmers: Bishop Bagrat
Information suggests that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has gone to Kiran to persuade local farmers. This was stated by Bishop Bagrat, the leader of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement, during a conversation with reporters ahead of a meeting with various political forces.
It is noted that, following the recent agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan, certain houses and plots in Kiran will come under Azerbaijani control. The government has promised to compensate the farmers, but they are unwilling to accept this compensation.
“According to my information, not only the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan has gone to Kiran, but also Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. I cannot assert that this is true, and I do not want to take responsibility. According to some information, they are trying to convince the farmers to accept the compensation. This is internal information, but I do not take responsibility for confirming its 100% accuracy,” Bishop Bagrat said.
In response to a question regarding whether meetings with former presidents are planned, Bishop Bagrat stated: “Who am I to meet with former presidents at this stage? When there is some clarity… They are people who have gone through a journey; what can I say to them?”
Additionally, Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement, is holding closed meetings with various political forces. “First and foremost, I will familiarize myself with them, present the situation, and thirdly, we will discuss the inclusiveness of this whole process,” he said in a conversation with reporters before the meeting.
He did not rule out that the name of a possible candidate for Prime Minister could be discussed. “Everything is possible. We have invited for an open, broad discussion. Many said that not everyone should be invited, but no, we respect everyone. As the Lord wishes, everything will reach its destination,” the bishop noted.
According to the spiritual leader, the issue of our people's existence is at stake at this moment. “Now we need to discuss not the consequences, but the cause, which is sitting in his office in Republic Square. We have set the goal of eliminating that cause,” Bishop Bagrat stated. He emphasized that the process of removing the government should take place within the framework of the law.
