Bagrat Srbazan Meets with Political Forces
Bagrat Srbazan, the leader of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement, meets with representatives of political parties. He stated that this movement is colorless and encompasses all colors, a notion that may sound strange, but the essence, form, and visibility are the same, regardless of the political evaluations or affiliations that anyone may attempt to connect with this entire movement or me.
During the meeting with the parties, Srbazan emphasized that he does not have and will not have a political mindset, then mentioned that this entire process began due to the so-called delimitation and demarcation processes that are taking place under illegal, unconstitutional, unilateral, forceful, and threatening impositions.
“We have clearly declared with our people on the border that even though this entire process occurs here, the solutions lie in Yerevan. We know where our target is and how and where the solutions are. Therefore, the movement has reached its logical environment. I have said that we all must gain our Homeland and honor,” he stated.
Srbazan said that the movement has reached a point where the consequences are no longer primary, although they are thinking about the consequences as well. Nonetheless, the cause is important. According to him, the cause is singular and located in the building number one on Republic Square.
“That cause must be resolved; we have clearly set the benchmark that this cause must be addressed, and the obstacles to proposing solutions to this disaster must be removed—either it must leave or be removed. What pathways, we have suggested one without being a political person, but nevertheless everything must be comprehensible, legal, and lawful,” said Srbazan.
He added that the question is posed before everyone: “Since time is short, we preferred to meet and talk together. I ask that whoever is to speak, be specific, as there is no need for assessments of the situation. The essence and program of the movement indicate that we have reached a juncture where we must clarify what we want and what we will do. Our desire has been for the tricolor to triumph over black and white; today’s picture is the best testimony of that, as I see organizations here that would not walk or speak next to each other in our brightest imagination, but they are all here and have been involved in this movement.
Our complete idea is that spiritual Armenia leaves its mark on this movement and wins over what is called a new Armenia,” concluded Srbazan.
It is noteworthy that he had previously met with doctors and lecturers. Bagrat Srbazan also announced plans to release a roadmap in the near future and hold a major rally.
It should be recalled that citizens dissatisfied with the Armenian-Azerbaijani delimitation have been conducting actions in the Tavush region for a long time. Members of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement and their supporters decided on May 4 to march from the village of Kiran to Yerevan. On May 9, they reached the capital. On that day, a rally took place in Republic Square, and the movement's leader, Bagrat Srbazan, gave Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan one hour to resign, which did not happen. Following this, he called for peaceful acts of disobedience to begin throughout the republic starting May 10. The movement's participants and supporters began blocking streets and roads the next day and conducting awareness actions, urging citizens to join them.
