Zelensky Signs Law on Mobilization of Prisoners

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law that allows for the mobilization of certain categories of prisoners into the ranks of the Ukrainian armed forces. This was reported by the official website of the Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada.
According to the law, those convicted of serious crimes, particularly premeditated murder, rape, and sexual violence, are not eligible for mobilization. Additionally, individuals convicted of crimes against national security cannot be mobilized.
This category of mobilized individuals will serve in special units.
