Woman Steals 1 Million AMD, 3,200 USD, 20,000 RUB, Gold Jewelry from Husband and Places Bets

According to SHAMSHYAN, a theft occurred in the Ararat region on May 12. At approximately 9:00 PM, a 36-year-old man residing in the Ararat region reported to the Artashat police department that between mid-April and May 12, an amount of 1,200,000 AMD, 3,200 USD, 20,000 Russian rubles, and several pieces of various types of gold jewelry had been stolen from a decorative box labeled "Naghashi Lavash" in the wardrobe of his bedroom located in one of the buildings in Artashat.

Reportedly, the police summoned the applicant's 29-year-old wife, who confessed under pressure of evidence that she had taken the mentioned amounts without informing anyone. She also admitted to pawning the gold jewelry at various banks and spending the received funds for her personal use and for placing bets.

Documents regarding the incident have been prepared at the Artashat police department and forwarded to the Ararat regional investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
