Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Demands Apology from France

Baku firmly rejects the statements made by France regarding Azerbaijan, calling them completely unacceptable. According to Azertac, this was announced by Aykan Hacizadeh, head of the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry, in response to French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin calling Azerbaijan a dictatorship.

He asserted that since the restoration of independence, Azerbaijan has always developed and emerged as a society committed to democratic values.

"Azerbaijan is a country where people of different nationalities and religions live in an atmosphere of peace and security. The French side should apologize for this statement. Otherwise, it will lead to even more negative consequences for Azerbaijani-French relations," said Hacizadeh.
