We Have No Alternative: Netanyahu

Israel will be able to achieve victory in the conflict against the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip even without the help of the United States. This opinion was expressed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with CNBC.

The government leader was asked whether Israel can win this battle without American support. “The answer is yes,” he said. “Although we appreciate American support, we want American support <...>. We must win. We have no alternative,” Netanyahu noted.

As earlier reported by the Axios portal, the Israeli Prime Minister emphasized during a military cabinet meeting on May 9 that the Jewish state is not a vassal of the United States. This statement came after U.S. President Joe Biden announced that the U.S. would halt arms supplies to Israel in the event of large-scale military operations in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
